Cheryl L. Hunt is a multi-brand entrepreneur, creative director, and real estate investor with more than 35 years of experience spanning corporate leadership, property investment, event production, design, and community advocacy.

Born and raised in Detroit, Cheryl’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2004 with the founding of SHAT’s Corporate Events, an event planning company named in honor of her three children—Sundrea, Howard, and Tevin. Through SHAT’s, she planned and produced a wide range of corporate and community events, establishing a strong foundation in logistics, experiential design, and strategic execution.

In 2006, Cheryl expanded her vision into real estate with the launch of CLH Group Investments, which evolved into CLA Group LLC in 2018. Under the CLA umbrella, she focused on property investment, short-term rentals, and community revitalization. In 2018, she further expanded the portfolio with CLA Elite HSR, strengthening the company’s position in hospitality-style short-term rental management and elevated guest experiences.

After relocating to Arizona in 2022, Cheryl continued to grow the CLA brand family. In 2024, she founded Desert Elite Designs, a staging and design firm specializing in homes, Airbnb properties, podcast studios, and TV and stage set design. Her work is guided by a signature philosophy:

“creating calm, curated, and captivating spaces that elevate both experience and value.”

In 2025, Cheryl launched Beyond the Labels with PureHeart, an empowerment platform offering guided journals and healing tools rooted in reflection, faith, and lived experience—designed to support emotional healing, personal growth, and inner restoration.

A Lupus warrior, proud mother, and devoted grandmother, Cheryl brings heart-centered leadership to every endeavor. She treasures time spent with her family—especially her granddaughter, affectionately known as her GrandLove—and believes legacy is built not only through business success, but through love, presence, and purpose.

Cheryl is deeply committed to philanthropy and community service, supporting organizations including Lupus of Michigan, the American Cancer Society, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, My Friends Care of Michigan, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Through CLA Group LLC and its affiliated brands, Cheryl continues to build a legacy centered on purposeful investment, thoughtful design, elevated experiences, and the people who matter most.
